If I thought the second album was achieved under difficult circumstances, producing this album has been no less challenging, even if for different reasons.
It was going to be ‘The Demented Third’ album, but a slight misunderstanding had ‘I’ve started…’ broadcast as the eventual title (thank you John Freeman!), so I used the original for track three.
Thank you, of course, to family, friends and to all those who have enjoyed Fearful Symmetry’s journey so far - especially those listeners and show hosts who give me encouragement and support.
A list of individual 'thank yous' would be endless, but thanks to Mark Cook, fellow T.A.P member, for the excellent Warr guitar solo, to Mark Monforti for his faith in this project, and to my partner in crime, Stephanie, for the inspiration for the epic ‘Tears of the Gods’.
As to the music and lyrical content - it’s another mixed bag of genres, with light and shade, musical jokes, and further sonic exploration and experimentation. The words are as enigmatic as ever, with a lot of word play, and reflect personal experiences to some extent, but can be translated into general world issues also - a world which requires some serious reconstruction. I’ve started…
